It is often said that Addiction is a disease of the spirit. Recent research has shown that practices such as mindfulness and meditation can help in the healing journey.

What is Meditation?

Meditation is similar to wakeful dreaming, using your imagination- it is not a fixed destination, nor is it strange chants surrounded by candlelight. Meditation is like exploring, focusing on your breath, the emotions and feelings your currently experiencing

What is mindfulness?

Making the choice to enter treatment is the first step, getting there is the next and extra support is often needed. Services include accompaniment to and from detox and the next level of care. Social events can be a trigger for relapse in early recovery. Having a trusted support person tag along can provide the much needed emotional and physical support to maintain sobriety.

Recovery Coaching

A recovery coach provides the needed additional support, especially during early sobriety. It can at times be a quick phone call, coffee, dinner, home organization help, life planning... Studies have shown that the additional support can lead to reduced relapses, reduced hospitalizations, improved access to help, among other things.
